The Financial Standard Chief Economists Forum is a breakfast forum that gathers a panel of prominent Chief Economists to share their views on the economic and investment prospects at the beginning of each year for Australia and the World. A panel of 5 top economists is invited to discuss the state of play and forecast of the Australian and the global economy for the year ahead. Topics to be explored generally include:

• What are the areas of the Australian and International economy that they see as possibly presenting problems over the next year and what will be the success areas?
• Following from the above, which Australian and Global investment sectors will be favoured and which ones will tend to be ignored or risky?
• How do the next 3-5 years look as well as the next 10-30 years in the context of the US economy and the emergence of major new economies?
• What can the government do to make the economy stronger for all Australians?
